For the Datapath.io Team, last week was a bit crazy. Aside from being at CeBIT 2016, we were also at World Hosting Days in Europa Park.
World Hosting Days provided us a great platform to discuss the Datapath.io solution. Not only discussing how we can benefit content providers, but also potential partnerships with Cloud Providers and Internet Service Providers.
For Cloud Providers and Internet Service Providers, this is the most important platform in Europe for presenting solutions. Not only is it the largest of its kind, it is also the most focused.
The Datapath.io experience at World Hosting Days was exceptional, and we have a few items to note about our experience.
The exhibitors and attendees we met with were highly engaged and prepared to discuss partnerships and doing business. From the attitude that was exhibited, to the fact that multiple companies had areas and time reserved to meet, there was a high interest level to meet and discuss business.
For us, this meant the trip was completely worth it. When attending shows, we are of the belief that it is a great opportunity to close deals and make mutually beneficial partnerships.
Highly Technical Audience
Whenever discussing the Datapath.io solution, the conversation can become very technical very quickly. This isn’t that network optimization is so complex, it’s more that the backbone of the Internet has a number of things going on.
Among them are Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), which the Datapath.io Solution is fundamentally overriding in order to provide lower latency. Having the ability to have this discussion at the DevOps Network Engineer level, provides a great opportunity for us to discuss our advantages. The fact that World Hosting Days is able to attract this audience is a huge bonus for a company like Datapath.io.
Conferences provide one of the best platforms for networking with others in your industry. In the context of discussing the quality of the audience above, having the ability to network directly with peers, and others fighting the same battles is exceptional. World Hosting Days provides a great platform for discussing tips, tricks and best practices relating to networking.
Attendance Next Year
After reviewing our notes from this year’s World Hosting Days, the conference will surely be high on or list of prospective conferences for next year. If the audience is similar, this is what we think is advantageous for companies operating in the Cloud, Internet, and network monitoring space.
We are looking forward to the follow up period and continuing our discussions from the conference.
