How Anycast Works
Anycast allows multiple AWS regions to advertise the same IP address.
Anycast nodes correspond to AWS regions, and probes are individual clients.
Each client request is routed to the closest AWS region or network node.
The result is faster DNS queries and content delivery.
Anycast DNS allows web services to replicate DNS name servers by code within AWS.
DNS queries can then be routed to the nearest AWS region, which results in significant network latency reduction.
