Datapath.io’s global Anycast network places all your hosting infrastructure behind a single anycast IP. Internet traffic can then be intelligently and predictably re-routed in an active/passive scenario for failover, or distributed over multiple servers in an active/active scenario for load balancing.
Datapath.io’s Anycast architecture helps you:
- Maximize availability
- Avoid outages and downtime
- Make your applications faster
- Deploy resilient and scalable applications

Companies like yours use Anycast solution for success
We do mobile app tracking and we promise to our customers real-time updates of the dashboard. We have a constantly incoming stream, and with a DNS solution, if one data center will go down, we won’t be able to completely failover to the other data center for one hour or even longer. It’s totally unacceptable for us and our customers. The most important part for us is the uptime. Our targeted availability should be as high as possible. Usually, we are looking for 99.99%. With Datapath.io Anycast average uptime is going up and it helps us to achieve our goals.
How Anycast works
Anycast allows all your globally distributed servers to sit behind a single Anycast IP. Requests for the website content can then be routed to the nearest server. This results in a significant reduction in network latency and faster applications.
Anycast runs continuous health checks on servers. If one servers goes down, requests are automatically re-routed to other servers. It reduces failover times to less then 10 seconds, maximizing uptime and availability, saving downtime costs and regaining lost revenue.

Load Balancing
Leverage a single Anycast IP and your global hosting infrastructure to scale your applications in real-time without a warm up period. Meet traffic spikes and increases in demand head on with intelligent load balancing and re-routing. Accelerate content delivery and improve application performance.
Failover
The Anycast fabric conducts sub-second health checks and reacts immediately to changes. As soon as a server fails, the BGP routes pointing to that server are withdrawn while BGP routes for the healthy server are advertised. Maximize availability and uptime of your applications in server health and network conditions.
